How to make Chroma Solar Array Simulator output Shadow I-V curve
Besides simulating Static I-V curve, Chroma Solar Array Simulator (62150H-600S/1000S) is able to simulate Shadow I-V curve when the Solar Array is covered by cloud or trees, which is better for realizing the performance of PV Inverter in real environment.
This document tells how to use the Table Mode in Chroma Solar Array Simulation Soft Panel to let Chroma Solar Array Simulator (62150H-600S/1000S) output Shadow I-V curve.

How to use SAS mode to test the static MPPT efficiency and conversion efficiency of PV Inverter
Chroma Solar Array Simulator is able to simulate the I-V curve of Solar Array that enables the user to test PV Inverter using this DC Source. In PV Inverter testing, Conversion Efficiency is one of the important tests. Regardless of Sandia or EN50530 standard, individual Conversion Efficiency of PV Inverter is specified to be tested under different input conditions.
Chroma Solar Array Simulation Soft Panel has two ways to set the I-V curve for simulation, one is SAS modeling and the other is Table mode. In SAS modeling function, the user can select to follow Sandia or EN50530 standard and change difference curve for testing rapidly without stopping the output.
This document tells how to use the SAS modeling function built-in Chroma Solar Array Simulation Soft Panel.

Guard Shield used for Low Current (nano-Amp) Measurement
Guarding- A technique that reduces leakage current errors and decreases response time. It keeps the potential of the guard connector at the same potential as the force conductor, so current does not flow between the force and guard conductors. It also eliminates the cable capacitance between source measure unit (SMU) and DUT for faster and accurate measurements. For more information about charging delay (settling time), please refer to the related document: AN-52400-02V1.00.
A guard is a low-impedance point in the circuit that’s at the same potential as the high-impedance lead in the circuit. In a guarded measurement, because the shield is driven to the same potential as the force high terminal of the SMU (Source Measure Unit), no current flows through the insulation medium; therefore, eliminates leakage current effects.
