This is the third annual corporate social responsibility report of CHROMA ATE INC.
CHROMA ATE INC. has been promoting social responsibility for a long time to disclosure the corporate sustainable development status and concept, while persevering with the ideal of public transparent and sustaining prosperity with corporate society, in conveying to the public the fulfillment of our corporate social responsibility and sustainable development in 2016.
Scope of the Report
The period of information disclosed in this report spanned from January 1st, 2016 to December 31st, 2016. The scope of information and data of this report consists of all key topics and performances in the aspects of corporate governance, economy, environment and society. The scope of disclosure borders the Taiwan Headquarter of CHROMA ATE INC. without overseas subsidiariesor branch of fices. During the period this report covered, there were no significant changes in the scale, structure, ownership or supplychain of Chroma.
Composition Principles and Guideline of the Report
The composition of this report is based on the Global Sustainable Reporting Indicator of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI G4), and the requirement and principle of AA1000 Accountability Standard, in disclosing all relevant information of our corporate social responsibilities. The GRI G4 Disclosure Table is attached at the end section of this report.
Certify and Released
Chroma has commissioned Taiwan Branch of the British Standards Institution (BSI) to certify this report, in accordance with GRI G4 Core Option and AA1000 Type I medium assurance-level, as well as to include the certification declaration in the Appendix of this report. The 2015 report was released in the fourth quarter of 2016 and the report of 2017 is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2018.
This is the second CSR report that Chroma has published. We intend to provide reports of our non-financial performance to the outside world on a yearly basis and take concrete steps towards realizing our vision of sustainability. The 2015 Chroma CSR report was awarded its first British Standards Institution (BSI) certificate. Managing director of BSI Taiwan Peter Pu presented the certificate in person to Chroma’s vice president of administration center Paul Ying.
From January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015. The previous report was published in December 2015, and the next report is expected before December 2017. During the reported period no significant changes are observed in organizational size, structure, ownership or supply chain.
This report is compiled based on the global Reporting Initiative, Sustainability Reporting Guidelines Version 4.0 (GRI G4). GRI G4 General Standard Disclosures are adhered to in accordance with core option. GRI G4 annex of this report is provide as cross-reference for the content in each individual section.
Assurance Standard and Body
In accordance with resolution adopted from meetings at the highest levels of management, external assurance is sought after in order to enhance report credibility. The British Standards Institution (BSI) is commissioned for report certification using the 2008 version of AA1000 Assurance standard set out by the global non-profit organization Account Ability. In addition, type 1 application and moderate assurance are used in the assurance standard.
About the CSR Report
This is the first issue of Chroma ATE INC.'s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report. The economic, environmental, and social aspects of our concept for sustainable development are presented in this report. Chroma discloses and reports all relevant data and also issues our CSR report every year.

The scope of this CSR report only includes Chroma's headquarters in Taiwan and does not include our overseas subsidiaries or service points. The composition of this report includes our financial, environmental and social performances. Some of this information, such as the financial information, is disclosed through Chroma headquarters, subsidiaries and other service points.
