Chroma's MagXtract® 3200, the fully automated nucleic acid extraction and PCR setup system has received 2022 Taiwan Excellence Award.
MagXtract 3200 is Taiwan's first novel open-platform performing the nucleic acid purification and PCR setup in a compact bench-top workstation. Compared with existing products, MagXtract 3200 greatly eliminates tedious and complex steps, reduces hands-on time by more than 90%, improves overall operative efficiency and reduces the risks of bio-specimen infection for medical laboratory scientists. Based on the open and flexible software architecture, it supports the various extraction PCR sample preps and accelerates progress of PCR downstream applications such as NGS. With these features and advantages, MagXtract 3200 stood out from amount of companies and won the Taiwan Excellence Award.
The Taiwan Excellence Awards were established by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 1993. Every year, eligible candidates are subjected to a rigorous and stringent selection system that covers four major aspects of "R&D", "Design", "Quality" and "Marketing" to identify outstanding products that offer "Innovative Value" while satisfying the key criterion of being "made in Taiwan".
