At the core of Chroma ATE is leading emerging technology to provide measurement technology and automation integration. In order to encourage outstanding talents to participate in precision engineering research and development, Chroma ATE title sponsored the “2020 Precision Engineering Paper Award” competition, hosted by Taiwan Society for Precision Engineering (TSPE) and organized by National Taiwan University. The competition aims to promote innovative research as well as advance a mutual exchange and cooperation among the industry, universities, and research units.
In line with industry trends, the call for papers welcomed topics on cutting-edge technologies of precision mechanics and control; precision optoelectronics system; remote and sensing; intelligent manufacturing information integration; AI applications; and new energy/biotech medical and materials. The competition started in April with 54 groups of outstanding college, graduate, and postgraduate students. The next seven months included extensive preliminary reviews and further work development, culminating into the finale and award show on November 26.
In addition to the paper competition, I-Shih Tseng, General Manager of Chroma ATE, was a guest speaker at the Precision Measurement Forum to discuss precision engineering technologies and trends. Tseng stated that measurement is the basis for industry, and only accurate measurement can ensure product quality. Afterwards, Chroma invited the participating scholars and researchers to visit the Chroma ATE headquarters for a mutual exchange between the academia and the industry. At the closing award ceremony, Chroma ATE chairman Leo Huang shared his hope that, through the paper awards, new outstanding Taiwanese talents will rise to the surface. While taking root in innovative precision engineering technology, their skills can help enterprises transform, produce valuable products, and enhance the overall international competitiveness of Taiwanese enterprises!
