The Chroma Foundation and Public Television Service Foundation have once again joined forces to host the Campus Children's Film Festival, bringing outstanding works from the Taiwan International Children's Film Festival (TICFF) into schools on a touring basis. The initiative aims to educate and inspire children's civic awareness while broadening their international perspective.
In 2025, selected films from the annual theme "My Hero's Journey" were brought to four schools. Through diverse storytelling themes such as life education, teamwork, peer relationships, and interpersonal interaction, and in alignment with each school’s curriculum, nearly 300 students were exposed to multicultural and global issues within their everyday learning environment. The program encourages children to think beyond academics and daily life, helping them experience the diversity of the world through visual storytelling and explore their own identities.
Matsu – Tangqi Elementary School
Life Questions – Learning to Cope with Loss and Rebuild Inner Strength
On June 26, the screening of the "Life Questions" film collection was jointly led by Tangqi Elementary School Principal Cheng Kung-Te, Chroma ATE Inc. Special Assistant to the CEO William Chang, and Alex Chuang, Vice Executive Director of Chroma's ESG Office. Students engaged with extended curriculum content from the school and participated in post-screening sharing sessions led by instructor Luo Yi-Jun, who guided students to understand that while loss in life is sometimes irreversible, people can learn to regulate emotions, adjust mindset, and find the strength to move forward. Deputy Magistrate of Lienchiang County Chen Guan-Ren was also invited to attend, encouraging students to bravely face the unknown and embark on their own life journeys.
Taichung – Houli Elementary School
Interpersonal Relationships and Teamwork – Practicing Communication, Empathy, and Inclusion
On June 30, a film collection focusing on interpersonal relationships and teamwork was screened, allowing upper-grade students to develop collaboration skills and learn how to interact with peers during their learning journey. After the screening, instructor Lin Qiu-Wan used tablet-based interactive activities to guide students in developing teamwork spirit and gradually discovering their own interests. Special guests included Houli Elementary School alumni: Chroma Foundation Executive Director Amy Huang (left 1) and Chroma ATE Inc. Innovation Technology R&D Center Senior Manager Wu Jian-Ming (left 2), who returned to their alma mater on its 80th anniversary to share experiences and engage with students, together with Houli Elementary School Principal Chen Jin-Zhen (right 1).
Yilan – Gengfang Elementary School
My Different Family and Friends – Accepting Yourself and Understanding Others
On September 3, the screening of the film collection "My Different Family and Friends" was held, led by Gengfang Elementary School Principal Zhang Zhi-Hong (center left 1) and Alex Chuang, Vice Executive Director of Chroma's ESG Office (center right 1), together with all teachers and students. The screening conveyed the value of empathy: every individual has a unique personality, and even those who are different deserve understanding and respect. After the screening, instructor Lin Qiu-Wan guided students in creative drawing activities using tablets, encouraging them to illustrate their own interpretation of “uniqueness.” Through creativity, students were inspired to develop empathy and learn to appreciate differences.
Hualien – Xincheng Elementary School
First Crush – Building Positive Emotions and Healthy Relationships in Adolescence
On November 20, the film collection "Nice to Meet You – First Crush" was screened. Xincheng Elementary School Principal Huang Li-Hua (center left 1) and Chroma ATE Inc. Special Assistant to the CEO William Chang (center left 2) accompanied students during the screening. The program guided upper-grade students to understand emotional awareness, relationship expectations and confusion, boundary setting, and healthy interpersonal interactions during adolescence. After the screening, instructor Ou Ling-Jing facilitated a Q&A session, encouraging students to think deeply about how to express themselves, how to listen, and how to find balance between “liking someone and being liked.”
The Chroma Foundation hopes to leverage the power of visual humanities education to accompany children in broadening their horizons and deepening their understanding of youth-related issues, while also addressing the needs of educational settings in value-based learning. The Foundation continues to actively engage in social initiatives through four core pillars: STEM Education, Humanities & Arts, Environmental Sustainability, and Care & Sharing. By integrating corporate core capabilities with education and public welfare, Chroma aims to foster a positive cycle of social co-creation and sustainable development.
