Reliable server operation depends on high-performance, high-reliability power supply units (PSUs). Chroma's 63200A Series DC Electronic Loads fully meet the requirements for PSU specification and performance testing as defined in OCP standards such as M-CRPS (Modular Common Redundant Power Supply) and ORV3 (Open Rack Version 3). In particular, the 63200A series excels at instantaneous power and dynamic current testing, thanks to its high-speed dynamic capabilities. Chroma offers comprehensive test solutions for server PSUs, incorporating automated test processes and programmable test items to verify real-world performance and reliability—ensuring compliance with the most stringent operational standards. Recommended test equipment and system architecture are as follows:
Chroma Grid Simulator Applied to AI Server ITIC Testing
The ITIC curve describes the tolerance of server power supplies when subjected to voltage abnormalities, including both steady state and transient conditions. Most ITIC test conditions, such as the test points within the yellow and green regions, are relatively straightforward for testing equipment to achieve. However, the 500% voltage surge test in the red region presents a significant challenge.
Chroma's 61800-100 model successfully generates peak voltages exceeding 1.9 kV (277Vacx5x1.414) and sustains this level for 200 microseconds, meeting the rigorous demands of this test.
