Chroma Education Foundation Donates MagXtract 3200 to the Good Liver Foundation to Support the Alcohol Metabolizing Enzyme Gene Testing Program

Through the Chroma Foundation, Chroma ATE donated its MagXtract® 3200 Automated Nucleic Acid Extraction and PCR Setup System to the Good Liver Foundation to support the foundation's alcohol metabolizing enzyme gene testing program. By providing a mature and highly automated molecular testing solution, Chroma ATE aims to facilitate the implementation of testing workflows while supporting risk assessment and health management initiatives.

According to Chroma ATE, this donation originated from a meaningful and practical exchange with the Good Liver Foundation. During the discussion, Professor Jin-Chuan Sheu, Chairman of the Good Liver Foundation, shared the vision behind promoting alcohol metabolizing enzyme gene testing—to improve testing workflow efficiency, provide valuable references for public health decision-making and risk assessment, and integrate preventive healthcare into everyday health management. Inspired by this vision, Chroma ATE believes that if its mature automated testing technology can make a meaningful contribution, the company has a responsibility to support the initiative through concrete action. Therefore, Chroma ATE made this donation through the Chroma Foundation and will continue to serve as a long-term technology partner in advancing the program.

The MagXtract 3200 is an automated nucleic acid extraction system developed by Chroma ATE with a core focus on workflow integrity and high-level automation. Capable of processing up to 32 samples per run, the system delivers both efficiency and consistency, making it particularly suitable for medium-to-low throughput laboratories requiring highly automated workflows, including hospital laboratories, testing centers, and reagent development and validation environments.

Integrated Nucleic Acid Extraction and Automated Liquid Handling for an End-to-End Sample Preparation Workflow

The MagXtract 3200 integrates nucleic acid extraction and automated liquid handling into a single platform, creating a continuous and highly automated sample preparation workflow. Once samples are loaded, the system automatically performs key procedures—including sample dispensing, reagent distribution, and nucleic acid extraction—without manual intervention. After nucleic acid extraction is completed, the built-in automated liquid handling module precisely transfers the extracted DNA and automatically prepares the PCR reaction mixture by dispensing the required reagents. This integrated workflow significantly reduces manual sample transfers, minimizing the risks of human error and cross-contamination. By consolidating multiple instruments and manual procedures into a single automated platform, the MagXtract 3200 improves operational efficiency, consistency, and reproducibility. As a molecular testing sample preparation system, the MagXtract 3200 enhances laboratory workflow efficiency and quality consistency through automated nucleic acid extraction and PCR reaction setup.
