Chroma's Leo Huang Ranked 22nd among Top 100 Best-Performing CEOs in Taiwan

01 Sep 2022

On August 31, Chroma founder and CEO Leo Huang was awarded the #22 ranking in Harvard Business Review's Top 100 Best-Performing CEOs in Taiwan 2022. The evaluation adopts the methodology of the formerly global edition of HBR's "The CEO 100", which measures both financial performance (85% of the total score) and ESG effectiveness (15% of the total score). The financial components taken into consideration are cumulative total shareholder return (TSR), market capitalization growth, and average quarterly earnings per share (EPS). The ESG component, which was added this year, is calculated based on the "Corporate Governance Assessment" conducted by the domestic Securities and Futures Institute and the "Taiwan Sustainability Assessment" by National Taipei University, as well as two international ESG indexes (Sustainalytics and FTSE Russell).

Creating Value for Customers and Winning Their Trust
Throughout these two turbulent years, Leo Huang has stayed true to Chroma's hitherto unchanged brand promise of "actively developing globally leading products and striving to become a world-class enterprise". He continues to insist on investing in R&D resources to ensure that Chroma can provide accurate, reliable and unique products for the technology industry, create value for customers, solve their pain points, and win their long-term cooperation and trust.

Implementing ESG Corporate Sustainability to Lead the Industry towards Net-Zero
In the past two years, the regenerative test equipment sold by Chroma has been used in various industries to reduce carbon emissions by 78,000 tons, an environmental contribution equivalent to as much as 172 NYC Central Parks. Chroma ATE has thus come to play a leading role in the industry's transition from low-carbon towards net-zero carbon.

This year, in 2022, the Chroma Foundation and ESG Office were established to promote environmental sustainability, social responsibility and corporate governance. In this way, Chroma will continue to contribute to the United Nations' 17 sustainable development goals and actively implement ESG corporate sustainability.
